![]() Needless to say when the installer came out he knew nothing about the floor being replaced. The salesman and the guy that came out said they would replace all water damaged wood. We had a leak and needed it to be replaced. We had Bathfitters come out to look at our shower. My feelings for those people other than my installer still stand. My original comments didn't say enough about the the great installation and how great the shower looks. My installer's boss is here in my home as I type this, all worried as to whether or not I'll modify my comments. My shower has been installed for 8 days now and looks great! I can't wait to finally use it! As far as the people above my installer, I still have no time for them. My main question is why is evryone so bent about my review? It had nothing to do about your product, just your players above the install level. He came today and took care of the floor as promised. I have to say my installer was wonderful. I'm pleased with them and would recommend Bath Fitter. What Bath Fitter did is remold to drain at the other end where the old plumbing is. Most other ones that I've had to try to work with wanted to move where my old drain was. You'd never know they'd been here, even after they'd left, other than my shower.Īnother thing that they did. When they made their mess in the bathroom, he had a brush and a bag, and everything was cleaned up. No one could ask anyone to be more pleasant and working. They did not even take a potty break until that job was done. They made all biggest efforts and they took it out in one piece. Asked him to take out my old tub in one piece hopefully. The young guys that came in were very pleasant. Other than that, they were extremely nice. I chose the light gray, and it says white marble. They only had those little pieces of display and you can't really tell what it looks like. The only thing that I am not happy about is the color I chose. I'm happy with the attitude of the people. So far I haven't had to call them back for not one repair. He put down thick paper on my hardwood floor so nothing would touch them. They asked me where I wanted the handles and they put them where I needed them to go. Now, I can just get in and out without fear of falling. We had our master bath converted into a walk-in shower because I have disabilities and it was hard for me to get in and out of the bath tub and take a shower. So I ended up having both my bathrooms done at the same time. I was expecting 2 or 3 times that amount of money. I called them and I was shocked it was as cheap as it was. We didn't know how expensive it was going to be. I had seen it on the ad with Jack Roper and we kept thinking about it but we had to wait. I had to tell everybody I know to let these people do your bathroom if you ever consider it. Bath Fitter did a wonderful job from start to finish. I would not have asked for anybody better. NOWHERE ON THE PAPER WORK I RECEIVED OR ON THE BATH FITTER WEBSITE IS THERE ANY REFERENCE TO AN EXCEPTION TO THE LIFETIME GUARANTEE OF THE WARRANTY COVERING THE "MATERIAL, LABOR, AND INSTALLATION." The Bath Fitter Lifetime Warranty affords you the peace of mind you deserve." When I told the person on the phone I would be filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau due to the fact that I MUST PAY Bath Fitter $75.00 to get a proper repair, because they WILL NOT sell the caulk to the homeowner, I was told "WELL DO WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO". The silicon caulk/sealant that I applied to the shower doors, that were installed at the same time, show absolutely NO SIGNS OF SEPARATING OR MOLD GROWTH.īath Fitter WILL NOT sell a tube of caulk that matches the color of the tub and wall surround so the homeowner can do the repair so you are captive and must pay Bath Fitter $75.00 to replace their defective material that "Material, Labor, and installation are GUARANTEED. Most silicon caulk/sealant for bathroom applications are mold proof and guaranteed for approximately 20 to 30 years. I believe the cause of the separation is due to the old caulk not being thoroughly cleaned before the new was applied. We are now only 3 years and 2 weeks into a "LIFETIME GUARANTEE" and the caulk is separating again and needs to be replace and has black mold growing in the caulk. Sometime later the caulk began separating from the wall and tub and had to be replaced again. At that time the caulk had to be removed and replaced. The first tub liner installed did not fit correctly and had to be replaced. The Bath Fitter product was installed in April of 2011.
